Charging solutions
Charging solutions will play a crucial role in greening your fleet in the coming 10-15 years. There are different types of charging stations. Companies have different reasons to install charging points for electric cars. An important reason is that the company contributes to a more sustainable future. In addition, the company can respond to the increasing demand for charging points for electric cars. Installing charging points can also be a way to bind customers or employees.
Charging points
You can divide them into five categories:
AC or DC: slow charging (2-6 hours) or fast charging (30-60 minutes), cheap or expensive charging
Standard or smart: works without a pass, or with a pass or a token
Pole or wall mounting: on a pole or on the wall
Public or private: on public property or on your own property
Special charging points for E-Buses and E-trucks, the so-called Hyper Chargers. These have a capacity of 1 MwH
Mobile charging points, charging points that are easy to move and suitable for construction sites, for example.
CPO and MSP
CPO: A CPO, or Charge Point Operator, is a company that installs and manages charging stations. This company can also install and maintain charging stations and provide distribution of electricity to charging stations and determines the rates and tariffs itself, which are then passed on to the Service Providers.
MSP: The e-Mobility Service Provider, also known as e-MSP (or EMSP, MSP or simply 'provider'), is the company with which the EV driver has a contract for all services related to electric charging. The e-MSP has various responsibilities; from providing charging passes , apps to locate and navigate charging stations, managing and expanding the roaming network, declaring and invoicing, customer management and determining the pricing of charging sessions for the EV driver.
