Solar energy

The solar panel converts part of the photons from sunlight into electricity. Solar panels are currently the best solution for generating electricity. The generated current is direct current.

The direct current of solar panels is usually converted into alternating current. Because the inverter causes losses, the capacity of the inverter also determines the effective yield. In practice, this is often chosen so that the maximum production of the panels is not used, in favor of a better yield with a lower production of the panels.

The current is ultimately used to power electrical devices, charge batteries, or charge batteries installed to store excess electricity.
